These HAND PAINTED, ONE-OF-A-KIND MARTINI GLASSES are all hand painted by me. Painted in sets of two each glass has it’s own original design but it painted to match it’s mate.
Every once in a while I get to take a break from my graphic design/illustration business and paint for myself! Of course, I painted Martini Art! These fun Original Watercolor Martini Glass Paintings range in size from 6″x10″ to 8″x12″.
In case you haven’t noticed, it’s that time of year again. Almost the first of October and Halloween is right around the corner. I’m getting ready to launch the first YouTube video from 2 Wild Women On A Binge with my friend and co-diva, Audrey and we’re planning on a Halloween themed launch!
I have saved many fun recipes and garnish tricks from past Halloween soirees and I’ll be posting them here as well as on my website so get your grocery lists ready and bookmark 2WildWomen for great videos on making martinis, munchies, art projects and some crazy, fun DIVA inspired video clips!
It’s going to be a Monster Mash at Diva Town this month!
For all of you who couldn’t get it on my Eons Blog (because Eons compressed the photo down to a nano card!) Here’s my recipe for the Chocolate Raspberry Tini – Enjoy!
Fortunately for me I have a lovely recipe for a coffee martini that I call “Drunk At Starbucks” and I shall have a couple, no more, I swear, tonight. Tonight I shall say “martini” and it will not come out “tarmoonie”!
Sometimes a martini or four is an absolute must. Yes, martinis are a gift from the Stoli Gods. Pure nectar in a glass designed to tell you when you’ve had enough. That tall elegant glass that evokes an aura of sophistication and glamor – “a martini shaken, not stirred”. If you’ve had too many martoonies, you tend to tip that glass over. A built in alcohol level alarm.
Tonight was a four tarmoonie night for me. Orange Truffle Martinis, shaken, not stirred. And garnished with a chocolate covered orange slice. Yum. I didn’t make it to number five. The glass fell over.
Here’s my recipe for my upcoming sound night of sleep, Goodnight JohnBoy:
I went and did it – I even had to mention my love of martinis on my video bio “So,Who Is Pop Art Diva?” on youtube, lol. Check it out – and I mentioned martinis twice, lol. . . .
I am growing my own herbs now. First, I got sick of paying high prices for “fresh” herbs in the grocery store and then using a leaf or two and watching the rest wilt. Freezing doesn’t always work, ya know. Also, it’s kinda neat to walk outside your door and snip a leaf or two for your recipe.
I seem to have better luck with growing from seed than buying a plant. And it’s great to watch those first shoots come pushing up from the soil. Some push better than others, lol. I have Tarragon, Sweet Basil, Chives, Cilantro, Oregano and Mint. My Marjoram didn’t come up at all, not one little shoot, but I’m babying one teeny little Lavender sprig like it was my first born! Rosemary grows wild like a weed out here so I just steal it – and sage too.
I even went out and got some tomato plants – Black Krim – they were on sale.Never heard of a Black Krim and may never get to find out what they are because you get what you pay for, they just seem to be sitting there sucking up water and not doing much else. And a lovely friend found a Beefsteak Tomato plant for me!! Yahoo, I love Beefsteaks – it’s kinda sucking up water too, but I have high hopes, lol.
I understand that an added benefit of herbs around your house and garden is they can deter certain pests. I have to check that out a bit more – google herbal pest remedies or something – because I don’t mind getting rid of pests. Do you think Tarragon might get rid of door to door salespeople??
Anyway, I’m very proud of my little herb garden – if someone had told me 20 years ago I’d be into gardening I would have laughed them into a black hole. Times change and we change with ‘em.
I’m out of town for a few days, dog-sitting for a friend. She lives in Phoenix (Chandler) and it’s hitting around 111 – 114 here. . .aaaarrrrrrrrrrggghhhhh! Fortunately she is a mile from Trader Joe’s, my all time favorite goodie store (except for Gelson’s, AJs, and Dean & DeLuca). I dropped her off at the airport and drove right over to TJs, loaded up my basket with a ton of great stuff, including a frozen French Onion Soup that has such a sweet, caramelized taste. I’m loaded for bear with food I don’t need to sweat over, my laptop and a great wifi connection for the next few days! Woohoo. So no recipes ’til next week. Hi, Chef Ramsey! Bet you’re cringing over the frozen onion soup as I slurp!!!!! Nyuck, nyuck!
